Public Hearings
The City of Yakima uses a Hearing Examiner to conduct public hearings on land use applications. Public hearings are conducted on the second and fourth Thursday each month in the City Council chambers of the Yakima City Hall, beginning at 9:00am. Annexation
The City of Yakima accepts annexation petitions from area residents based upon the guidelines of Washington State law. The annexation process is a legal procedure which requires a public hearing by the Yakima City Council. To find out more about annexation to Yakima, you may want to review the Annexation brochure.
