A Travel Speed Study
was conducted in 2002 for the Urban Arterial Streets within
the city of Yakima Washington using GPS and GIS technology.
A total of 17,426 GPS points were collected in May of
2002 along 85 miles of streets. Travel time, direction,
speed and delay were calculated using GIS.
