Biography

Dave became Mayor of Yakima in January 2006 after two years as a Council Member. He is a former Seattle Mariner who played third base from 1980-1983. After his professional baseball career ended, he returned to Yakima and became Area Director for Young Life. He and a host of volunteers built the local Young Life into one of the largest Young Life groups in the country. In 1995, Dave became the Senior Pastor of Yakima Foursquare Church, where he leads a congregation of nearly one thousand people.
