Section 1607.4.4 of the Uniform Building Code as adopted and maintained by the state Building Code Council is amended to read as follows:

1607.4.4 Special roof loads. Roofs to be used for special purposes shall be designed for appropriate loads as approved by the Building Official. Greenhouse roof bars, purlins and rafters shall be designed to carry a one hundred (100)-pound-minimum (444.8 N) concentrated load, L r, in addition to the uniform live load. Residential greenhouses, residential patio structures, and agricultural buildings shall be designed for a vertical live load of not less than fifteen (15) pounds per square foot.
