Section 109.6 of the Uniform Building Code as adopted and maintained by the state Building Code Council is amended to read as follows:

109.6 Revocation. The building official may, in writing, suspend or revoke a certificate of occupancy issued under the provisions of this code, after a thorough investigation of the evidence, whenever the certificate is issued mistakenly, or on the basis of incorrect information supplied, or when it is determined that the building or structure or portion thereof is in violation of any ordinance or regulation or any of the provisions of this code.
